Microsoft is preparing to launch Surface Duo outside the United States

Microsoft, earlier this year, launched the Surface Duo. However, at the time, it was only available in the United States. Now Microsoft is preparing to launch its foldable smartphone in markets outside the United States.

According to a report by Windows Latest, the Microsoft Surface Duo has already received certifications in Japan, Canada and the UK. It is expected to launch in these countries in early 2021.

The report also says the phone is on track to launch in Europe. The company has been in contact with mobile operators in the UK to launch the phone there. The phone is expected to launch in Europe in early 2021.

Notably, while the phone has received certification in Japan, it’s still unclear whether the company will launch its Surface Duo smartphone in other markets in Asia.

As for the specs, the Microsoft Surface Duo comes with a 5.6-inch OLED display and a 4: 3 aspect ratio. When unfolded fully, it will have a large 8.1-inch display with the PixelSense Fusion technology.
